The exchange of experience on the topic of Virtual Reality in police training is a valuable aspect in the successful introduction of modern technologies and new training approaches in an organisation. As part of the “VR & Police Network” (www.VRandPolice.eu), the DACH & Friends group met for the first time in Vienna at the Austrian Security Academy (SIAK) in summer 2021. The exchange of experiences and joint knowledge acquisition are now to enter the second round. This year, the host, the North Rhine-Westphalia State Office for Training, Further Training and Personnel Affairs (LAFP NRW), is inviting pre-registered participants individually to the beautiful seminar center IBZ Schloss Gimborn.
The aim of the seminar is to build on the VR and Police platform (www.VRandPolice.eu) that was built during 2020/21 and to create a true European Network designed to promote the exchange of knowledge with innovation and VR in police work. The seminar is more than just talking about technology, it will focus on working together to exchange relevant findings on the use of VR in police training. A mix of talks and interactive workshops will be accompanied by technology try-outs
We look forward to a week full of knowledge, experiences, exchange and learning.
