SHOTPROS participated in the CCI Conference on November 24th-25th in Brussels, Belgium. Representatives from the project partners Campus Vesta and KU Leuven attended and presented the project.
Cutting Crime Impact (CCI) is a European project that promotes a preventive, fact-based and sustainable policing strategy to tackle petty crime with high impact. CCI mainly aims at European law enforcement agencies as end-users of the developed tools. However, the approach of the project focuses on people and society, so there are many more users and stakeholders in addition to the police.
The presentation of the second SHOTPROS Virtual Reality scenario attracted the attention of many visitors and the people were generally impressed by the level of realism. The CCI conference was an excellent opportunity to get in touch with relevant stakeholders in the law enforcement domain and to gather contacts for the VR & Police Network. Those contacts are going to be invited to the upcoming SHOTPROS activities, such as the field trials and the final conference in 2022.
